Great coffee, hipster overload
Fresh off a delightful V-line trip from Sunbury, into the cold, cold Melbourne air, we sailed straight past Kinfolk (next time I promise!), to Patricia whom the Melbourne coffee mafia go on about.
Hard to find but the hipsters milling at the entrance were a dead give away.
Things are simple at Patricia, coffee black or white. No hot chocolate.
Some simple pastries.
News papers up on boards (see photo) a very cool idea.
VERY good service (offering me filtered water). Actually the fellow in the royal blue jacket and peach coloured pants had the sheer audacity to seemingly laugh at me when I looked surprised at being offered the water (I must have looked like a confused country person still unaccustomed to the sheer cold of Melbourne, even though, like, totally, I'm an ex local). What a funny fellow.
I just went for a latte, divine.
I really like the concept - very Euro stand up coffee bar. Lots of people standing with a cuppa, a biccie and talking.
It's very crowded (popular) - people wait outside and your coffee is bought out which is cool.
Sadly they use Bonsoy (slowly grind the wheels of justice, Bonsoy).
If you like coffee, you won't be disappointed.
