Incredible
I know sometimes I can sound like a harsh critic in my reviews, but it's because of places like Monk Bodhi Dharma that I do. I've been told I should ease up on my reviews as I'll put people off side. Well, I'm sorry, but after sampling places like this, I can't not be. MBD is a beacon and shining example of how coffee can be when you care about it. More importantly, the care extends into the food and staff attitude and it shows.
This place is absolutely beautiful.
Walking in, you're greeted with muted wood panelling and a lovely feeling. I actually felt stress wash away. It is like a retreat for the soul.
The coffee was excellent, and the food
just amazing.
I ordered a double ristretto, which was excellent, and the latte was divine.
The barista sent a Kenyan espresso my way (which I didn't even ask for, so thanks!) and that was sensational. Boy do I love being able to find all these amazing cafes and sharing them with you.
It truly is a joy.
Check out Monk Bhodi Dharma, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
I went with corn and ricotta fritters/hashcakes, which came with cherry tomatoes that were perfectly ripe and cooked just delightfully. I couldn't decide on brekky - it all sounded divine - but this was ace. I'll be back for more.

Excellent!!
New local favourite. That's why I love Melbourne - moving to a new suburb always surprises you with an excellent choice in coffee.
